Seven Questions for Christmas
Seven Questions for Christmas
based on Galatians 4:1-7 and other
Scriptures
1.
Why does Christmas matter?
Christmas matters because of the truth that God sent His
Son (Jesus the Messiah) to this world. (John 3:16-17)
2.
Why did God send His Son to this world?
For Jesus the Son of God to become the means for our
salvation. We are all sinners (Romans 3:10-11) in great need of a Savior.
3.
How did Jesus become the means for our salvation?
Jesus became the means for our salvation by dying on a
cross, and that death being the perfect sacrifice to satisfy God’s wrath and
cleanse us from sin.
(1 John 1:9 & 1 John 2:1-2)
4.
What happens to sinners when Jesus saves them?
Sinners receiving salvation are Justified (declared
righteous), Adopted (into God’s family), Sanctified (made holy by
God, conformed to the image of His Son), and Glorified (in Heaven, no
more sin). (Romans 8:28-30)
5.
What does it mean to be adopted by God the Father?
We’re taken from the worldly patterns that lead to
nowhere but Hell and brought into the status of a full-fledged heir of God the
Father. (Romans 8:12-17)
6.
How do we truly become heirs of what belongs to God?
To be Justified (declared righteous) by faith, trusting
in what Jesus has done for us in His death and resurrection, His work of
redemption. (Romans 5:1-11)
7.
How can you be saved?
By Repenting of your sins, trusting in
Jesus Christ and His death and resurrection alone for the forgiveness of your
sins and being cleansed from all unrighteousness.
(Acts 3:19, Romans 10:9-13)
Galatians 4:4-5 – “But when the fullness of time had
come, God sent forth His Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem
those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.”
